about
'Amorphous' is the electrifying new single from the Liverpool-based feminist indie-pop duo Seagoth - Georgia Ochoa and Hannah Gannon - and a tantalising precursor to the band’s debut album, which is due out next year. The single follows the success of Queen, released in June 2022, which was supported by BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, John Kennedy at Radio X and many more.
‘Amorphous’ is a politically charged dream-rock anthem, written and produced by Georgia (guitars/lead vocals) at her home in Cheshire. The song represents struggling to fit in and feelings of hopelessness. Georgia says: “Sometimes emotions can feel like a storm ripping right through you. Some people say the universe expresses itself through humans, I think I agree. There’s this feeling I get from time to time, deep in my stomach and in my brain — not a pain, just a feeling. Some emotion that I can’t detect enough to label. I wrote 'Amorphous' about it as a reminder that we are nature.”
